Nestling alongside the banks of the Nantcarn stream is the 4 star Visit Wales graded Cwmcarn Forest Campsite. A well-equipped caravan and camping park at the foot of the spectacular forest drive.
New for 2011 at Cwmcarn Forest Campsite we have 3 camping Pods available to hire from Easter weekend. The Goshawk would accommodate a family of 2 adults and 3 small children, while the Heron and Kingfisher would suit 2 adults and 1 child. (Sorry not pets allowed in pods.)
If you like the idea of camping, but not the bugs, then the timber framed Pod is your saviour. Just bring along your camping gear but no need to pack the tent. Our pods have a heater, a light and electic socket. The veranda is partially covered, so perfect for enjoying a meal or relaxing with a glass of wine. Ideal for a short break or over night stay without the hassle of packing away a wet tent.
To book or check availability just contact the Visitor Centre on 01495 272001 (we take the first nights stay as a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. Bank Holiday bookings must be made for 3 nights Fri - Mon).

Accommodation is available for up to 16 caravans (5 hard standings) or tents with an additional 7 all weather tent pitches (installed 2010) all with electric hook up. Modern shower and toilet facilities (upgraded 2010), kitchen (upgraded 2011), laundry room, DDA compliant wet room (new 2011) & chemical waste disposal.

Cwmcarn Forest has just launched a fantastic new range of walks leaflets all based in and around the Forest Drive.
The walks vary in length and difficulty with a traffic light order, green being the easiest and red the hardest. The Blubell walk is a delightful 1.2 mile walk taking in woodlands, ponds and streams...ideal for a family stroll. The 1807 walk is more strenuous at 9 miles taking in Twmbarlwm Hill Fort.
Find out more on Cwmcarn Forest's website where you can view the walks and download a walking guide with map.
