The Titanic, the Mill and the Signal: Artie Moore and Titanic's SOS
Our fascinating new exhibition focuses on the remarkable story of Artie Moore from Gelligroes Mill, near Pontllanfraith who received RMS Titanic's SOS call on his home-made radio receiver on the night of 14th/15th April, 1912. The exhibition also explores the story of Titanic, as well as some local links in this 100th anniversary year of her sinking.
Already proving to be a huge hit, the exhibition has received 3000 visitors since its opening on Good Friday 6th April and will be on display until the end of Janurary 2013.
