Caerphilly Castle, Wales's largest castle, will be bathed in light for a spectacular series of ticketed `son et lumiere' style shows from Sunday 26th September until Friday October 8th 2010. Coinciding with the Ryder Cup tournament nearby the light and sound spectacular at Caerphilly Castle is expected to welcome thousands of visitors to the Castle during the thirteen night run.

A mini saga is a complete story in under 50 words... Novelist Alexander Cordell was inspired by the lives and loves of the people in South Wales over the last 200 years. With this in mind, write a mini saga based on either of these themes: 'Community' or 'Unbelievable'. Entries in English and Welsh welcomed.

Visit the Winding House this August Bank Holiday for a day of traditional FREE family fun! Relive holidays from the past with some old-fashioned entertainment. With traditional games, seaside crafts and Professor Mystral's fantastically funny Punch and Judy Show, there'll be buckets of fun for everyone! The event is on Monday 30th August from 10am-5pm and admission is FREE! Punch and Judy show will run at 11.30 and 1pm and the historic Winding Engine will run at 12pm and 3pm.
