Newbridge Memo

Newbridge Memo is a Grade II and Grade II* listed building in the heart of Newbridge, south Wales. The Institute building which opened in 1908 is a lasting monument to the miners who worked so hard to build it.  The Memorial Hall built in 1924 serves as a memorial to the local servicemen who lost their lives during World War One.

Recently refurbished with dedication and care, the Memo has once again become a crucial hub for our local community, with a busy modern library, daily classes and events and a variety of evening entertainment.

In November 2014 the Art Deco auditorium re-opened its doors, filling the space with music and theatre once again.

The staff at the Memo are exceptionally proud of the modernisation of the building and are committed to providing an excellent service as well as creating an environment that is warm and welcoming for all their visitors.

There is free parking in close proximity to the building with disabled access throughout including automatic doors, lifts and disabled toilets.

The Memo is just 20 minutes from Junction 24, M4 and has great bus and rail links connecting to Newport, Cardiff and the Valleys.
