Caerphilly Nordic Walks

Why not try Nordic Walking?  Caerphilly Nordic Walks operates in and around Caerphilly County Borough, taking in picturesque views of the stunning countryside.

Walks are led by Ed, who is a qualified Nordic Walk instructor with British Nordic Walking. Nordic Walking originated from the Scandanavian region and has been in Britain since 2005.

It is a complete overall exercise with many health benefits, including:

  • Burns 46% more calories than ordinary walking
  • Strengthens back and abdominal muscles
  • Low impact on joints
  • Great cardio-vascular and all over work out
  • Improves posture

Each session lasts approx. 1 hour 30 minutes, with a warm up and cool down. Quote the ‘CTA’ to book a free taster session.

Suitable for all fitness levels.

Walks:

Monday- Newport Wetlands Centre and Tredegar House (alternating week to week)
Wednesday- Blackwood area – Gelligroes, Pengam, Wyllie (alternating week to week)
Thursday- 14 Locks Canal Centre Rogerstone.
Friday- Cwmcarn Forest
Saturday- Pontywaun canal walk with a stop at the cafe.
All at 11am.

Nordic Poles are provided and the charge is £5 per session in Caerphilly borough and Newport.
