The Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10K is set to return in 2022 on Sunday 15 May along with the Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 2k.
With 2,500 runners of all abilities expected to descend on Caerphilly from across the country to enjoy the event, we are looking to the 2022 event to be bigger and better.
Set in the shadow of the spectacular Caerphilly Castle, the Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10k will both start and finish on Crescent Road. Runners will have the opportunity to run a good time on a relatively flat course with some undulating points. The course will lead participants in and around the town centre, passing iconic landmarks including the giant cheese sculpture and Tommy Cooper statue along the way and offering great views of the medieval castle, which dominates as the stunning backdrop to the event.
The course record was set by Matthew Clowes in 2018 who passed the finish line in 30 minutes and 33 seconds and many elite and competitive entrants are expected to try and take on the record for 2021.
The event is organised by Caerphilly County Borough Council, sponsored by Bryn Meadows Golf, Hotel and Spa and is supported by Welsh Athletics and Sport Wales.
