Caerphilly County Borough Council’s annual ‘Operation Santa’ appeal is open until Friday 29th November.
Hundreds of children across the borough are at risk of not receiving a gift this Christmas. Operation Santa aims to provide presents to those nominated by their social workers.
We are asking residents to pledge cash via our fundraising page to ensure local children will receive gifts in time for the big day.
The pledge line provides a quick and easy way for generous groups and individuals to pledge cash for a child this Christmas. All you need to do is visit our donation page.
If you want to purchase a gift voucher, please do not wrap the voucher, place it into an envelope and ensure it is clearly marked with the information below:
Please limit the value of each individual voucher/gift card to £10. The unwrapped gift cards need to be taken to a collection centre by Friday 29th November. The collection centres are as follows:
Alternatively, you can make a pledge by calling 01443 866577 or emailing operationsanta@caerphilly.gov.uk.
Cllr Elaine Forehead, Cabinet Member for Social Care, commented “Operation Santa brings joy and Christmas spirit to children who wouldn’t receive a present at home. It is such a worthy cause and can only be achieved through the generous donations from businesses and residents of the borough.
On behalf of Caerphilly County Borough Council, I would like to thank all of those who continue to support Operation Santa, either in previous years or this year. I look forward to seeing the success of Operation Santa 2024”.
