The Lord Nelson Inn is one of the oldest buildings in Nelson. It is tastefully decorated and offers lots of nooks and crannies and log fires that entice people to come in just for a chat, a drink and or dining.
It is well positioned for visiting attractions like Llancaiach Fawr, Bike Park Wales, The Climbing Centre and the Brecon Beacons. It has been privately and proudly owned for 14 years. Not being a chain pub or tied to a brewery is very important to us and we all work together as one big happy family. As well as having a great reputation with the local community it goes beyond the village of Nelson with lots of people regularly travelling from distances that you wouldn’t imagine.
Serving food and pleasing customers in a relaxed setting is what we do best. Our menu is designed to offer a large selection of favourites with all our meals prepared to order.
Our grills are our speciality, with steaks never failing to disappoint. Our chef is more than happy to cater for individual requests and will always make time to ensure that everything is just right. We will never serve factory produced food and we offer an extensive vegetarian menu. We try to source products locally so we all support each other.
Our customers regularly return and become our “friends” and we pride ourselves on being customer focused. Large parties and families are welcome and we are dog friendly in the bar area (dog biscuits always on hand!).
