What’s On in Caerphilly County Borough This Christmas

In the lead up to Christmas there are some delightful activities and festive treats to join in with safely. To help get you into the festive spirit here is a selection of what is taking place in the county borough, all hosted by Caerphilly Tourism Association members.

Family Fun

Blackwood Miners Institute supports Rainbow Valley Productions
Come along and join in the fun at the drive-in pantomime showing of the swashbuckling family favourite Peter Pan. Hosted at the old Pontllanfraith Civic Centre the event will offer a fun experience for the whole family. For full information on dates, prices and times please visit Firefly Cinema

Escape Blackwood
The Grinch in association with Escape Blackwood will be carrying out a number of ‘Grinch Walks’ in aid of Alzheimer’s Society Elf Day. Outdoors and socially distanced with quarantined lollipops for onlookers! Visit their Facebook page for future dates.

Taff Valley Quad Bike & Activity Centre & Wales Activity Breaks
There are lots of outdoor experiences to keep everyone entertained in the lead up to Christmas from Quad Biking and Archery to Axe throwing and Clay Shooting. The venue will be announcing their Christmas Festive Farm event very soon so keep an eye on their Facebook page for full details.

Rock UK
Lots of enjoyment is to be had at The Summit Centre with the playground and climbing all available. Make a day of it and have some Christmas treats in the café! Visit their Facebook page for full details.

Butcher & Ball Dog Café
Santa’s dog grotto! Take your 4-legged friend to visit Santa! Christmas photos are optional, but all visitors will receive a wrapped gift! £4 per dog. Visit their Facebook page for full details.

Playworks the Meadows Farm Village Retreat
Santa and Reindeer Walkthroughs are available in the lead up to Christmas. Gifts for the children with sweet treats and hot drinks for chaperones! NOTE: You get to see real reindeer! Booking is essential. Visit their Facebook page for full details.

Caerphilly Farmers & Artisan Market
Visit the Twyn Community Centre on Saturday 12th December and join in with the final market before Christmas! Pick up some fabulous food and those last-minute gifts. There will be a one-way system around the hall and visitors are asked to collect their purchases as quickly as possible to allow everyone to pass through safely.
