Visit the great outdoors<\/h3>\n

We have some fantastic outdoor visitor attractions here in the county borough of Caerphilly, all delighted to welcome visitors back.<\/p>\n

The Meadows Farm Village Retreat<\/a> <\/strong>in Caerphilly is offering a pre bookable service for a 3 hour visit to the farm which includes a tour (which is well worth it, you\u2019ll learn all about the animals origins, their personalities, plus you get to feed some of them!).<\/p>\n

Enjoy a two hour ranch family visit to Mountain View Ranch<\/a><\/strong> on Caerphilly Mountain, explore the Gruffalo Trail, meet the animals and find the fairy forest. Visits are pre-bookable up to 5 days in advance.<\/p>\n

Why not break out and throw yourself into some proper outdoor adventure. Taff Valley Quad Bikes & Activity Centre<\/a><\/strong> in Upper Boat, near Caerphilly, are now open and taking bookings for quad biking, the outdoor assault course and archery along with lots of other activities and they can provide lunch. Take a look at their website for more information and to book.<\/p>\n

Rockwood Riding Centre<\/a> <\/strong>on Caerphilly Mountain are now open for private lessons and hacks across the beautiful countryside. Riders need to be level 2 and above. Contact directly to pre book.<\/p>\n

Walk or ride somewhere new:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The world is your oyster, why not try a new trail for your next walk or bike ride? The National Cycle Network offers well signposted and maintained routes and Caerphilly County Borough has several to choose from.<\/p>\n

Aber Valley Cycle Route \u2013 Route 475<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Starting in Caerphilly, this route transports you to tranquil green fields and woodlands with protected wildlife sites.<\/p>\n

Celtic Trail East \u2013 Route 4<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Celtic Trail runs right across Wales, part of it runs through Caerphilly and takes in paths around Caerphilly Castle with stunning views of the castle and moat. From the castle, the trail takes you through Bedwas, Machen and the outskirts of Newport.<\/p>\n

Three Parks Trail<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Starting from the Sirhowy Valley Country Park near Crosskeys, the route takes you over Hengoed\u2019s impressive 16 arch listed viaduct. Continuing along the valley passing through Parc Penallta, carved from a former coal pit. From the High Point Observatory you can enjoy spectacular views across Caerphilly county borough. Make sure to look out for Sultan the Pit Pony, one of the UK\u2019s largest figurative earth sculptures.<\/p>\n

Cwmcarn Forest<\/strong><\/a>
\nVisitors can now enjoy the walking trails around the valley floor and lake. Mountain bike trails are open to ride and the car parks are open. Raven’s Cafe is open every day for takeaway along with the gift shop, reception and toilets. Keep checking the website for up to date information and opening times.
