Cwmcarn Forest Photo Competition

We want your wonderful images of Cwmcarn Forest to feature in our new visitor centre reception area and on our new window graphics!

If you’ve taken a fantastic photo at Cwmcarn Forest in 2020, please share it with us. We are looking for images taken on any of our walking trails , on our mountain bike trails, on the top of Twmbarlwm, at the lake, around the visitor centre. Basically any photo that captures Cwmcarn Forest at its best. Photos can be landscape or portrait with people in or without.

If your image/s are chosen you will win a £20 voucher to use in Raven’s Cafe. You will then be entered into a prize draw, along with other successful entrants, to win a 3 night stay for up to 4 people in one of our new luxury lodges!

Image requirements:

•  A minimum of 5mb, jpg format

Images will be tagged with the Instagram/Facebook user name when printed on reception area graphics and window graphics.

Terms and conditions: 

1. The closing date is midnight on Sunday 15th November 2020; the winner will be announced by social media during the week of 16th November 2020.
2. Entries must be submitted via Cwmcarn Forest’s Facebook page, Twitter or Instagram account. Entries by mail will not be accepted.
3. All entries must be received by the advertised closing time and date.
4. All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them and must not have been published elsewhere or have won a prize in any other photographic competition. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the permission of the subject and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.
5. All prizes are non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
6. By entering the competition the winners gives use of the images to Cwmcarn Forest/Caerphilly County Borough Council for all future media use and publications.
7. Cwmcarn Forest reserves the right to withdraw any image from the competition at any time.
8. Cwmcarn Forest reserves the right to withdraw the ‘Cwmcarn Forest Photography Competition’ at any time.
9. Raven’s café vouchers to be used by 30th April 2021. Lodge prize to be used by 21st May 2021, subject to availability. The following dates are excluded: 3rd – 17th April 2021.
10. A complete release of Instagram and Facebook must be applied by each entrant.
11. The competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram and Facebook.
