Cwmcarn Forest – Walking

Walking at Cwmcarn Forest

Cwmcarn Forest has some of the best walks in Wales. Choose from the gentle Nantcarn Walk along the lake or the more strenuous 9 mile 1807 walk taking in historic features, stunning woodlands and fantastic views.

Please note that a number of our longer walks have had diversions put in place due to the tree felling taking place on site, please check with the visitor centre before setting off or follow the diversion markers on the trails.

Five Fabulous Walks at Cwmcarn Forest

From under a mile to nine miles, there are walks to suit all abilities. Each one offers different scenery and terrain which take in the beauty of Cwmcarn Forest, the expansive lake and Valley floor. Different seasons bring different flora and fauna; enjoy the gentle Bluebell Walk in May when the bluebells are in full bloom, or in Autumn when the leaves are changing and offer some contrasting scenery and colours.

Each of our walks are listed below, maps and directions will be available to download shortly.
