Walking

Experience some of the best walking in Wales with our self-guided walks for all abilities, which take in the wildlife and Cwmcarn Forest’s beautiful views. The more energetic can walk all the way to Twmbarlwm hillfort with its staggering panoramic views.

Glamping Pods & Campsite

If you like the idea of camping, but not the bugs, then the timber framed Pod is your saviour. Just bring along your camping gear but no need to pack the tent. The veranda is partially covered, so perfect for enjoying a meal or relaxing with a glass of wine. Ideal for a short break or over night stay without the hassle of packing away a wet tent.

Nestling alongside the banks of the Nantcarn stream is the Visit Wales 4 star graded Campsite. A well-equipped caravan and camping park with space for tents or caravans, with electric hook up, kitchen, laundry room, shower and toilet facilities and chemical waste disposal.

Luxury Lodges

Six new lodges now complement Cwmcarn Forest’s visitor accommodation offering. Sleeping from 2 – 6 people, the lodges are fully furnished and finished to a very high standard. Each with a fitted kitchen and bathroom with shower and toilet along with TV, a full size double bed and living area with sofa bed (in lodges sleeping 4+). Double doors open out onto a decked veranda with seating area and stunning views.

Waking up to hear birds tweeting and forest fresh air surrounding you is a given. Set amongst forestry in a quiet spot, it’s a little piece of tranquillity. For more action, the adventure playground is close by (but not too close!) along with water based activities, walking and cycling trails, Raven’s Café and the visitor centre.
