Caerphilly Winter Food and Craft Fair is the perfect place to get you in the Christmas spirit. Experience the sights, sounds and smells of a town and Castle preparing for Christmas with delicious street food, the smell of mulled wine, exciting street theatre and over 60 food, craft and gift stalls including funfair attractions to delight the whole family!
This magical event is host to the River of Light Lantern Parade that starts at 5:30pm and concludes with a Fireworks Display at 6:15pm! Be sure to also attend one of the River of Light Lantern-Making Workshops and make your own lantern to light up the town! (Please note: attending the workshops is NOT a requirement to take part in the parade.)
Whilst at Caerphilly Winter Food and Craft Fair, don’t forget to visit the popular Caerphilly Artisan Market in the Twyn Community Centre, Crafty Legs’ Craft Fair & Market at the Cenotaph and Castle Court Craft & Food Market in Castle Court Shopping Centre. All these markets complement the Caerphilly Winter Food and Craft Fair and the town’s mixture of independent & high street stores.
This event is completely FREE! Normal admission fees apply to the castle.

Parking
Public parking is available at the following locations:
– Station Terrace car park, CF83 1JU (pay-and-display)
– Caerphilly Park-and-Ride, CF83 1JU (free)
– Crescent Road car park, CF83 1AB (pay-and-display)
– Morrisons / Castle Court Shopping Centre, CF83 1XP (free, maximum stay 3 hours)
– Park-and-Walk (marked red on the map) at Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni y Gwyndy, Pontygwindy Road, CF83 3HG (£2 charge)

Bike Racks
There are several bike racks located within Caerphilly town centre, marked purple on the map.
Bike racks can be found at Caerphilly train station, throughout Cardiff Road, around the Twyn and outside Morrisons.
Public Transport
Caerphilly Transport Interchange is located nearby the event site, with trains to and from Bargoed and Cardiff every 15 minutes and trains to and from Rhymney every hour. Caerphilly bus station also provides direct links to Cardiff and other routes throughout the borough.
