Unfortunately, a decision has been made to cancel the planned Bargoed Christmas Market tomorrow (Saturday 6th December) due to the forecast of high winds.
The council will reschedule the event to a new date on Saturday 21st March 2026, to ensure Bargoed gets the event it deserves.

Bargoed will be brought to life on Saturday 6th December as it hosts its annual festive fair.
Festive stalls, entertainment and funfair rides will bring that added Christmas sparkle to the town, offering a real treat for local residents.
Bargoed town centre also offers a fabulous range of independent shops and high street brands giving you an opportunity to really get your Christmas shopping underway. Experience a little town with a lot to offer!
The Bargoed Christmas Market is completely FREE to attend!

Car Parking
FREE public parking is available at the following car parks:

Public Transport

Bargoed Train Station and Bargoed Bus Station are located a short walk from the High Street end of the event site.
Bargoed Train Station provides direct services to the following locations:
- Barry Island (approx. every 10-30 mins)
- Cardiff (approx. every 10-30 mins)
- Rhymey (approx. every 20-40 mins)
Bargoed Bus Interchange is serviced by buses travelling towards and from: Merthyr Tydfil, Caerphilly, Blackwood, Pontypridd and Newport.

Bike Racks
Bike racks can be found in the following areas of Bargoed town centre:

Music and Light Parade
The Music and Light Parade will start at 6pm in the Emporium car park, making its way up Bargoed High Street before ending at Hanbury Square.

Stall List
Over 40 trade stalls selling delicious food and unique crafts as well as a few information stands. Enjoy delicious cakes and sample a tipple or two from the spirits, beer, and cider sellers! Pick up some unique craft gifts for family and friends or why not treat yourself!

The Sensory Sanctuary
We know that crowds and lots of noise can be overwhelming for some people, so our Sensory Sanctuary will be available at our town centre events for those with autism and other neurodivergence needs, or anyone who needs to take a break.
At the Bargoed Christmas Market, you’ll find the quiet space at Bargoed Library (CF81 8QR), between 9:30am and 4pm.
