Risca Beach FEASTival

It is with deep regret that Risca Beach FEASTival 2026 will not take place this Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th June. CCBC Events team are disappointed by this news, following a lot of hard work and planning.

The event will be postponed to Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September to ensure Risca Town Centre gets the event it deserves.

We have been in close contact with suppliers, Met Office and various weather forecasters all morning but unfortunately, the forecast is now showing gusts of up to 38mph. Winds over 35mph are over the manufacturer’s guidelines of temporary structures and the stalls cannot be built. In addition, the heavy rain the grassed site has endured over the past week creates further safety issues for the site build and participants and visitors to the event.

Safety is the paramount to the organisation of all our events and based on the above information, we have no option but to postpone the event to give traders, suppliers and visitors adequate time to rearrange their plans.

We are pleased to be able to postpone the event and look forward to seeing you all in September!

This year, the Risca Beach Party and Risca Food FEASTival come together for one big summer event, with food and fun galore!

Risca town centre’s Tredegar Park will be home to a giant beach area along with plenty of food and drink for a whole weekend of family fun in the sun!

This event is organised and funded by Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Free public parking is available at the following nearby car parks:

• Tredegar Terrace car park, NP11 6BY
• Commercial Street car park, NP11 6EE
• Risca & Pontymister Rail Station Park & Ride, NP11 6BD
• Longbridge car park, NP11 6BU
• Tesco Extra car park (limited time and allocated to customers only), NP11 6NP

Public Transport

Train Services

Risca & Pontymister Train Station is a short walk from the event site at Tredegar Park, NP11 6BW and services passengers travelling to and from the following locations:

• Cardiff (approx. every 20-40 mins)
• Ebbw Vale (approx. every 30 mins)
• Newport (approx. every 60 mins)

Bus Services

Risca’s Moriah Baptist Church and Spar bus stops are located directly outside the event site
at Tredegar Park.

• X15 (Stagecoach): Brynmawr – Newport via Newbridge and Abertillery
• 56 (Stagecoach): Tredegar – Blackwood – Newport
• 151 (Stagecoach): Blackwood – Newport via Newbridge and Risca
• R1 (Newport Bus): Newport – Ty Sign – Risca
• R2 (Newport Bus): Rogerstone (Morrisons) – Fernlea – Risca

Stall List

There will be a number of stalls selling food, craft and displaying information, as well as hot and cold drink refreshments and not forgetting the all-important ice cream van!

The Sensory Sanctuary

We know that crowds and lots of noise can be overwhelming for some people, so our Sensory Sanctuary will be available at our town centre events for those with autism and other neurodivergence needs, or anyone who needs to take a break.

At Risca Beach FEASTival, you’ll find a quiet space at Risca Library, NP11 6BW, between 9:30am and 4pm on Saturday 12th September.
