2026 Summer Holidays Events and Activities in Caerphilly County Borough

The summer holidays are here! We’ve put together a handy list of fun events and activities taking place in and around Caerphilly County Borough over the six weeks’ holidays, so you’ll never be short of things to do!

If you’re hosting an event or activity over the summer break that you’d like to add, you can submit via our submission form or by emailing visitcaerphilly@caerphilly.gov.uk.

All Summer

Week 1 (20 – 26 July)

Kick off the summer holidays in style with a host of great events, from a Toy Story Party at Colliers Adventure Farm to a Party in the Park in Caerphilly’s Morgan Jones Park!

Week 2 (27 July – 2 August)

Week 2 sees the first summer session of Play in the Park, beginning at Parc Penallta, along with events including RecRock’s Rock School, Ffos Caerffili’s monthly Quiz Night and more!

Week 3 (3 – 9 August)

The first Caerphilly 5k takes place on Sunday 9th August! This week also sees the start of Summer Holiday Play Days at Newbridge Memo, Character Week at The Meadows Wildlife Park and African Drumming Workshops at Rhymney, New Tredegar and Bargoed Libraries.

Week 4 (10 – 16 August)

Look out for the return of Bedwellty Agricultural Show at Llancaiach Fawr on Saturday 15th August, as well as other events including Witchlings: Parent & Child Workshop at the Morbitorium, Stop Motion Workshop at Caerphilly Library and an inflatable theme park at Caerphilly RFC!

Week 5 (17 – 23 August)

Bedwas Workmen’s Hall hosts a Taylor Swift-themed Family Party on Friday 21st August, and look out for Louby Lou’s Interactive Storytime at Bargoed and Risca Libraries, Open Mic Night at Ffos Caerffili and more.

Week 6 (24 – 30 August)

The final week of the summer holidays sees events such as Go Wild at Caerphilly Castle and the return of Caerphilly Cheese Festival on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August!
